• Co-host of the Lure Love Podcast and correspondent for the Fish Nerds Podcast, including gear reviews, humorous audio essays and other features.
• Managed all editorial activities of two national, award-winning magazines.
• Author of four books and former newspaper columnist. Was a finalist for Foreword Magazine’s Book of the Year award.
• Won more than a dozen national awards for communications excellence, including the Association of Great Lakes Outdoors Writers, an Educational Press Association Editorial Achievement Award and a Gold Apple from the National Educational Film Festival.

• Quoted in the books The Art of Column Writing: Insider Secrets from Great Columnists and Set the Page on Fire: Secrets of Successful Writers. Also former Director of the Erma Bombeck Writers' Workshop.
• Speaker at the Will Rogers Writers' Workshop, National Society of Newspaper Columnists Conference and the Catholic Imagination Conference, among other national events.
• Judge for the Outdoor Writers Assn. of America craft contest, Florida Outdoor Writers Assn. craft contest, Erma Bombeck Writing Competition, and National Society of Newspaper Columnists annual competition, among others.
